I grew up in a family of seven girls, no boys. Yep. That's some serious character building. The experience of growing up in my close knit family taught me the skills that I continue to use every day in my business — how to pivot when your situation changes, how to think creatively to get your point across, how to bring people together, how to learn from your mistakes, how to always lead by example, how to make sure that someone feels valued and, most importantly, how to be a really good listener.
In my 20 years of art direction, design and leadership experience, I have worked in the worlds of consumer marketing, shopper marketing and direct response. I love that my work experience is this broad. It has helped me to be prepared for literally anything that is thrown at me.
I have worked with large Chicago-based Marketing agencies on Fortune 500 brands, with small entrepreneurs and also with non-profits. From a nationally recognized brand to one person with a really interesting idea, I feel fortunate to have had exposure to such a variety of clients. I am able to jump right into the creative flow with current creative teams and have also led my own independent concepts and designs from initial brief to final production. I am comfortable and equipped to work offsite or onsite with an existing creative team.
No matter the creative challenge, I continue to push myself to look at each project with innovative ideas and a fresh approach to the design in order to arrive at the visual solution that feels right and works in the marketplace.
I welcome the opportunity to work together soon.
